The Virginia General Assembly appropriates roughly $2M per year to fund the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program (VWWP). Although generous, state funding is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of service to Virginia's wounded warriors. Support from individuals, veterans service organizations, and the private sector is crucial to maintain a quality statewide program.
How to Give
The Virginia Veterans Services Foundation receives contributions in support of VWWP. The Foundation strives to ensure contributions directly serve our wounded warriors. There are several ways to make a contribution to the program through the Veterans Services Foundation as shown below. Please make sure that your donation is clearly marked to the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program c/o of the Veterans Services Foundation.

The Virginia Veterans Services Foundation accepts donations to support critical programs and services for Virginia's veterans and their families that are not covered by state or federal funds.
Honor your loved one by helping a Virginia veteran
- Donate to the Veterans Services Foundation by mail. Download the VWWP's donation brochure card. Your contribution may be tax exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 170 (c) and Code of Virginia Section 2.2.2719. Donations can be used only for the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program and cannot revert to the Commonwealth’s General Fund.
